Garage Coating Questions

How long should I wait before using my garage after the floor coating installation?

You’ll be able to get back into your garage after 24 hours, but we recommend waiting 36-48 hours if humidity is high, just to be safe!

Yes, everything needs to be out of the garage so we can prepare and coat the entire floor without any obstacles.

We still need to prep the floor, even if your home is new. Proper preparation ensures the coating adheres well and lasts a long time. Skipping this step might save some money upfront, but it could lead to issues later.

It’s pretty tough to damage the coating since it’s designed to be durable, but if something does happen, don’t worry—it can be repaired!

Yes, we can extend the coating outside the garage, but keep in mind you’ll see it when the door is closed.

Keeping your new floor looking great is simple! Use a blower, broom, pressure washer, or mop for regular cleaning. For tougher stains, we recommend using a cleaner like Penntek’s LGX-501 or a household cleaner like Simple Green or Pine-Sol. The reason we suggest these is that they’re gentle on the coating while still being effective. Just make sure to avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, as they could wear down the coating over time
